Marriage Preparation at Nambucca Valley Catholic Parish

• Please read the following information carefully when planning your wedding at Nambucca Valley Parish.
  We are delighted to assist you as you prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony and to begin your married life together in the grace of God.

• Congratulations on Your Forthcoming Marriage
  We extend our warmest congratulations on your decision to enter into the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. The Nambucca Valley Catholic Parish is honoured that you have chosen our parish as the place to celebrate this sacred and joyful occasion.

• In preparation for your wedding, couples are required to make an appointment with the Parish Priest at least six months prior to the proposed wedding date. This time allows for proper pastoral preparation and the completion of all necessary documentation.

• The following documents are to be submitted to the Parish Office: a recent Baptismal Certificate (issued within six months of the wedding), Confirmation Certificate, Birth Certificate or Passport Copy, and Driver’s Licence. In addition, all couples are asked to complete the SmartLoving Online Marriage Preparation Course, an approved program designed to help engaged couples reflect on the meaning and responsibilities of Catholic marriage.

• All required paperwork—including the Pre-Nuptial Enquiry, Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) Form, Declaration of No Legal Impediment, and the Marriage Certificate Form—will be completed in the presence of the Parish Priest.
